The staff was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The resort was a mixture of couples and families from literally around the world. We booked a ocean view room (it felt more like a partial view from another room balcony in the distance). The resort is about 30 minutes from the "city", but there's always taxi/uber on the property or nearby. We tried to utilize all the services and all the restaurants. The spa was great (appts aren't required but recommended). The food was good or great. There's vegetarian options every service and guest are asked numerous times to disclose food allergies. Reservations are only required at Portofino. I enjoyed this property.

Room was very spacious and had an amazing balcony with a view of the Caribbean Sea! Staff isn’t overly welcoming or friendly. When you arrive, it’s not a welcoming experience There are a select few service staffwho are lovely!! The Coffee Cafe ladies were super friendly and happy and enjoyed them. Yurily at the beach bar is great! Food is so-so. Breakfast is good. But the lunch and dinner buffet are pretty bad and lacking. Your best bet is the Italian Restaurant. The shuttle into Cartagena was a surprise and we are super glad that was an option. Cartagena was fabulous

This is a lovely hotel if you’re truly looking to get away from it all. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the staff—their hospitality was genuine, warm, and always accompanied by friendly smiles. The property itself is beautiful, with a thoughtful layout that feels spacious and seamlessly blends the outdoors with the comfort of the hotel. Our room overlooked the pool with a slight view of the ocean, which added a nice touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated all the essential amenities provided. The all-inclusive experience was enjoyable, with a good variety of restaurants and drinks. The food was solid overall, and we especially loved the coffee shop and the gelato selection. The beach is accessible but requires a bit of a walk. It’s relatively small, and seating can be limited, so it wasn’t a standout for us. Also, because the hotel is quite removed, visiting Cartagena requires additional planning and cost for taxis or shuttles. One of the highlights of our stay was the evening entertainment. The hotel lounge area was lively, and they did a wonderful job creating fun, engaging experiences each night for guests of all ages. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and disconnect—perfect if you’re seeking peace and a resort-style escape. It was a wonderful experience to enjoy at least once, though for us, it may not be a place we would return to.
