"The accommodation was fine but there were two downsides. There is public parking on the road around the corner but it is very busy and difficult to find a space. We also had a triple room which was comfortable but it fronts onto a busy noisy main road. Good value for money"

"This is a difficult review. The owners have only recently taken over and are working hard to improve things. The place is very tired in places, needing repairs and redecorating. The staff were lovely, the food was very good, the bed was nice, clean and comfortable.....but there were stains on the carpet and the bathroom was dirty."

"Room was clean and a good size in general, but the bathroom was very cramped. Nice tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were all very friendly, food was ‘pub grub’ and not the best fish and chips I have had, however the breakfast was excellent. We only stayed for one night whilst passing through, so it was a good place to rest our weary heads after a long day motorcycling in the rain. "

"The property was clean and tidy, but a little tired, and the central heating wasn't working in the room; however, there was a small electric radiator available, which made the room bearable after an hour or so. The staff were very welcoming and helpful when I arrived, which was well before booking in time. "
