"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "Beautifully appointed room. Quiet and private location. Well appointed gym although very small. Nice pool and sauna but with weird rules that aren’t obviously published anywhere - expect a telling off from the ‘wellness’ staff if you don’t follow the mystery rules! Bar is very nice, a great space to relax and service there was outstanding. Restaurant looked lovely too, but with dinner service not starting until 7pm, we didn’t bother - plenty of other equally good/better options nearby. We didn’t have a car, but the bus and trams in Bordeaux are cheap, regular and safe, and the hotel is less than five minutes from stops in almost every direction. "
"This nice and modern aparthotel is well maintained and its location is very convenient as there is a tram station just half a block away. You can be in Bordeaux’s historic center in less than 20 minutes and if you’re traveling to the next destination by train, the train station (Saint-Jeanne) is just half an hour away at just 3.3 Euros per person. I highly recommend this hotel. I would book again. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment about that. The staff is friendly and they explain well to you what you can do in town. "
