"Rooms were clean, staff was ok, we enjoyed the Spa. The hotel facilities are great. I loved having a scuba diving center in the resort. The beach is really good and there is a huge selection of swimming pools, including a small aqua park for adults too. We enjoyed the evening entertainment and the entertainment team was great and very engaging with the guests. The only thing that needs improvement is the food - maybe a bit more variety. I expected by the sea to have more choice of fresh fish...

"Title: Appalling Experience – Unsafe, Unhygienic & Completely Misleading My stay at Kaktus Somabay was a disaster from the moment I checked in on November 27, 2025. The first room was covered in thick dust, to the extent that my new iPad cover became damaged within minutes. When I reported it, management responded with denial and disrespect, insisting it “did not happen here.” Their attitude alone was unacceptable. After being moved three times, every room had the same unhygienic dust problem....

"All the staff were so friendly and helpful they really helped to make our stay. The chef came around in the mornings to check that we were enjoying the food and both the buffet and the speciality restaurants were really good. We particularly liked the Italian at breakfast and lunch as it was quieter than the main restaurant. There was plenty of food. "Excellent, clean and beautiful hotel. Having a large number of pools helps the crowd to scatter. The rooms are well maintained and the staff does a great job. We enjoyed the food and snacks very much. Only two things that could be improved is the cocktail selection and the limited number of towel stations. We had to walk quite far to get them exchanged. Overall it is an excellent, luxurious hotel."
