"Pros - good location. Short walk into town. Room clean, modern & spacious. Self check in with good clear instruction prior to arrival. Cons - Car park full so had to pay for parking on car park next door. No plates at breakfast only cardboard dishes which made it difficult to butter toast as the bread wouldn't fit in the dish. Would definately stay here again though & just maybe arrive earlier to get a parking space."

"Overall great place to stay-clean, comfortable and great location. One complaint-nothing was stocked like other homes/apartments we have stayed. We had to buy garbage bags, soap, salt and pepper, even toilet paper, etc. morning was stocked. Amazing amount of dishes/cookware in the kitchen, but that was it. I wish we would have known, we could have packed some of this from home. Other than that, good stay!"

"Great stay for a group of 12 people, great location however parking cars were a problem for us. The house itself wasn’t very clean on arrival, lack of toilet rolls. Plus lack of showers for the number of guests, only two and one bath. The steps near the sauna were very wet after a heavy rainfall. Right in the centre of Ambleside that have lovely shops and restaurants, we had a meal at Luigi’s and can highly recommended it."

"We just had a really lovely one night stay at Elder Grove in Ambleside. The room was lovely and clean and I enjoyed relaxing in the lounge downstairs in the evening after diner. My husband didn’t mind it but I did find the bed rather firm. Other than that everything was great."

The guesthouse is very near to the town centre of Ambleside. Definitely stay there if you are in the area."
