"Overall great experience at Strand Palace. Fabulous location in Covent Garden with access to restaurants, stores, theatre and three different Underground stations each within 1/4. Lovely, clean and updated rooms and lobby. Staff very helpful. Breakfast great and plentiful. I would stay again there for sure. "

"So... let's start with what is positive. Location location location; a five-minute walk to the Paddington station, this cannot be beat. Now the rest... If you book a room for three guests or more you will more than likely be placed at the property that around the corner from the Stylotel property address. These rooms are above a bar/pub/possibly a restaurant... to which there is an "entrance" but most likely you'll be walking through the bar/pub/possibly a restaurant. The rooms are adequate. The windows do not open so you cannot air out the room. The kitchenette was not clean. Dust on the plates, old food splatters on the microwave/convection oven. The bathroom is also adequate but there is mold/water damage and the hot water just stopped working on our last night. The staff, with the exception of the one front desk gentleman with the beard and glasses (he is wonderful) and the one maid we saw, the rest of the staff was rude and at some points non/existent. Toilet paper is locked behind the counter... there is really no place to put away your stuff, but there is a safe... we opted to not have daily maid service because we had our suitcases out."

"room was tiny, and the TV was so close to the end of the bed that you could barely fit between the bed and the wall. Good location. Never charged to store luggage before check in at other hotels. "
