"We were absolutely blown away by this wonderful hotel. We’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, but this one was by far our favorite. The service and food were exceptional, and every member of the staff was incredibly professional. Our time in Atami couldn’t have been better!"
"Fantastic experience...only wish we would have had more time. We used this as a hub prior to climbing Mt. Fuji - not too far from the Atami Station and easy to access.
Staff is helpful, kind and very welcoming. Beautiful Ryokan - would definitely come back to visit again. "
"The property was very clean and spacious. The hosts instructions were very clear with lots of information about nearby shopping, restaurants and hot springs. The car park was very close to the property as well as the station being one minute away. The beach is also a one minute walk. I highly recommend this property for both small and large groups. "
"The room was amazing with a killer view for fireworks. It was right next to the river that cuts through town so the sound of water can be heard from the room. Just beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. "
"The experience was absolutely great. Food, room and service -- No better words to describe except for the fact that one should experience Komeya on his or her own. I highly recommend this hotel."

"A good place to stay and relax. Only down side is that there are some communication barriers since I don't speak Japanese and the staff doesn't really speak English, but they did try their best to communicate with you, things like prepared cards and using translation app on their cell phone."
"This was simply one of the best accommodation choices I have made in years! My room was large, bright and clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. There was a balcony with a beautiful view of the coast. The manager was very polite, enthusiastic and friendly. He showed how much he values his guests. I had selected a breakfast option before arriving and had delicious local food brought to my room in the morning. Drinks, pool and onsen are all provided in this hotel. I informed the manager that I will definitely be back and he seemed to be pleased.
The village of Usami is lovely and quiet during the week. There are very few shops but the large town of Atami is a short but scenic train journey away (2 trains per hour). "
"Purchase the dinner and breakfast—excellent buffets and beautiful dining room. Hotel has extraordinary ocean view. No need to leave the property as it has 3 onsens, restaurants, and activities."
"
SOKI Atami is a beautiful and tranquil retreat. I thoroughly enjoyed the private onsen on my outdoor terrace, with its serene view overlooking the sea. The amenities are first-class, and the service is beyond reproach.
As a design professional with a deep appreciation for Japanese aesthetics, I found joy in every detail—from the architecture to the textures and tones. Every element felt intentional and quietly luxurious.
My only suggestion would be to offer more variety in the dining options. The dinner menu, while exquisite and beautifully prepared, is a fixed multi-course meal. It’s undeniably delicious but might be too expensive for guests to enjoy every night of their stay.
The Japanese-style breakfast is also excellent—nutritious and thoughtfully presented. That said, as a guest from the U.S., I would appreciate the option of a lighter, Western-style breakfast. I understand this may not fully align with the hotel's concept, but I wanted to share this perspective as a matter of comfort and inclusivity.
Overall, I would come back in a heartbeat!"
