"We originally booked a room with one bed, but upon arrival we found it was a corner room and felt dark and small, with a small bed. We chose to pay for an upgrade to a double bed room, which was much larger and brighter. The arched design feature is very interesting and adds charm to the room."

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Tavera. We stayed for 6 nights. The staff at the hotel are amazing. All are very friendly and accommodating. My husband had a fall and needed Medical attention. They were so helpful and kind. The rooms are quite large. It’s a very private accommodation with a small number if rooms which makes it quite special. It’s a boutique hotel in a great area. The breakfasts were delicious. A different selection each day. It’s close to all the attractions yet on a street that is away from the commotion. There is live music close by including a great jazz bar with reasonable prices for drinks/food. If you like to try different/local food there are lots of choices nearby. All in all I would definitely pick Casa Travera for a visit to Merida. "
