"申し分ないくらい良かった。部屋は広くて設備も整っている。朝夕の食事はとても充実している。従業員は丁寧。露天風呂は屋上で、岩風呂でもなく長方形で風情のない単調なもの。一方で大浴場はサウナもあり、有り難かった。 上がったところに広いラウンジがあってコーヒーが自由に飲めるのは嬉しい。"

"スパはよかったです。 料理は、まあまあでした。 子供のサービスをいろいろと考えて頂いてよかったですが、子供のジュースもついてなくて別料金なのは、よくなかったです。 朝食を食べた後にコーヒーを飲みたかったのですが、時間で終わってしまっていたので、朝食の時に案内があればよかったです。"

"客室の古さも感じました。 宿泊者特典もあったが、全て終了時間が早かった。 (カラオケ1時間無料とあるが 、21時までとか)。チェックイン15時からの時間でないと取れない。 フロントスタッフが笑いながら、私達に説明している姿に腹が立ちそうになりました。 また、お風呂入替え制でしたが、女性風呂時間に男性が入っていた。スタッフが注意をしてくれたが、そもそも、わかるようにインフォメーションしてほしい。 夕食バイキングでしたが、食材盛り皿の回りが、落ちていても気にならないスタッフでした。雄山閣は人には進めないと思いました。"

"Our room was spacious and very clean. The private onsen was large and very comfortable, looking out over the river but completely private. We had the kaiseki dinner each night which was elaborate and delicious. The town of Yamanaka is very pretty with fun row of shops specialising in lacquer wear and pottery, some cafes, the usual restaurants and a big public men's and women's bath, along with a beautiful walk in the gorge along the river. All of this is within 5-15 minutes walk of the hotel....
