"I had a pleasant stay at Britannia Hotels in Manchester. The staff were friendly, the location was convenient, and it offered good value for the price."
"Stayed here on a few occasions now and each time it gets better, clean rooms, comfy beds, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Perfect location being right next door to Piccadilly and only a 10 minute stroll to the centre"
"We much enjoyed our stay at Wilde. Friendly staff, clean well equipped room and comfy bed. Location was perfect for Manchester sightseeing.
2 small gripes - having a bed against the wall so that one person has to climb in is not helpful, we wouldn’t have booked if we knew and the duvet was to small for the cover.
Neither spoiled our stay!"
"It's an odd place, an odd set up. Check-in is a bit farcical as they insist on your qr code link and registering whilst they stand there waiting. Then that registration needs N official ID, passport or driving licence etc, then you realise you can enter 12345678 a d that is ok. Rooms are decent a d decent sized, no kettle, and cleen shower pod. The blocks housing LL the rooms are odd, hostel feel. Saying all that, they are good value. So there you go"
"Great location, clean and staff are incredible. Rebecca was very helpful and friendly. One of the best hotels we stayed in the entire UK.
Highly recommend"
"We had a lovely overnight stay at the Portland by Sunday Hotel in Manchester's Piccadilly area. The location is excellen right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of Manchester Piccadilly Station, the Opera House Theatre, and plenty of great restaurants, bars and shops.
The hotel has a quirky character with fun décor throughout, featuring sunglasses, umbrellas, boots and weather-themed displays, which gives it a unique personality. The staff were all warm, welcoming and very helpful
We stayed during a heatwave, but the air conditioning in the room worked brilliantly and ensured we had a comfortable night's sleep. We paid an extra £10.for a late checkout, giving us an extra hour in bed after a night out in Manchester, and it was well worth it. We also paid just £4 to store our two bags after checkout, which allowed us to enjoy an afternoon of shopping without having to carry luggage around the city.
Although we didn't eat in the restaurant, we enjoyed a few beers in the bar while watching the World Cup, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.
The only minor downside was the room entrance. The hallway between the door and the sleeping area is quite narrow, so larger guests or anyone using mobility aids may find access a little restricted. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying again, but it's something worth being aware of.
Overall, this is a fantastic hotel in a superb central location with friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent value f"
