"Was lovely stay breakfast was nice but the sausages tasted awful the room wasnt one of the new rooms but was clean and somewhere to put your head down at night the bed was to hard for my liking but was clean the hotel is going through some rebuilding and will look fantastic when its all finished the lobby and bar are really nice and modern "

"Bed too small, uncomfortable and pillows unsupportive. No proper curtain so privacy an issue. Tv was tiny and a brand I’d never heard of. There was a splattered dead fly on the pillow case. "

"The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the fact that the cafe attached was both delicious and had outdoor seating was absolutely incredible… The only downside to our stay is that there was a huge youth field trip. The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. They let them basically do whatever they wanted like they had no control over them. It was awful. The morning we were checking out, so were they. The kids were blocking every exit, every hallway, every set of stairs and we had to make our way downstairs to the reception area. When we finally made it down, more kids were blocking the only 2 exits to reception. There was a kid crying and throwing a fit right in front of one of the doors and the other door was being blocked by 15 other kids. One of the teachers looked at me and asked if I was trying to get to reception and I said yes. She replied “well you can use the other door” the door she was referring to was the door being blocked by the child throwing a fit. I just looked at her in shock. How was I supposed to exit, because as a mom and a teacher, I find it very inappropriate to talk to a child on a field with their school. Those teachers had absolutely zero control over those children. If you would like to stay here, it is absolutely beautiful but I strongly suggest you call and ask if there is a field trip."

"Beautiful cottage - clean and very well kitted out and decorated. Amenities were a good standard. Towels and bedding bathrooms all lovely. Would definately stay again ! The welcome basket was really appreciated and a really nice touch. Thankyou ! "

"This is a room in a pub. But our room was to a high standard and almost large enough to be a suite. Absolutely in the centre of Whitby. Breakfast was good and hearty too. Could do with more power sockets in the room, though."

"Found parking with ease. Access to house was via key safe. Front door a little stiff but fine. House was very comfy and well equipped. Although a toilet brush would have been preferred. On the surface was clean ish. Kitchen cupboard doors, doors and windows needed cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere! Towels and bedding was clean. Twin beds were tiny, not full size singles, so better suited for younger children. The biggest issue was the boiler. Heating was on when we arrarrived but soon the boiler went off. Signs were up to say how to restart the boiler so owner knew it was an issue. Had we only needed to reset the boiler pressure once that would have been fine, however, we had to reset it several times each day throughout the day. Not ideal when on holiday and needing hot water and heating."
