"The rooms were extremely clean and housekeeping did an incredible job daily. The breakfast is good when compared to US Holiday Inn Express. The location is within walking distance to the Taiwan Rail Chiayi station not to be confused with high speed rail (not in proper city limits). It’s about a 20 min walk (~1 mile) to the Wenhua Road night market and pretty flat but in most smaller cities sidewalks are non-existent."

"Loved how big and spacious the room was! 3 people were able to have 3 large suitcases open at the same time and with plenty of room still to walk/sit/lay down if we wanted. Plenty of property seating space as well that isn't just the bed. Staff were very nice and even brought our bags to our room since we checked-in early. The free parking space was a huge plus as we rented a car in Chiayi. Location is a little far from the main city attractions but still very close to a big retail/eating...

"The staff are very friendly and helpful; they kindly guided me to a safe indoor spot to park my bicycle. The reception area is amazingly clean, and the shower rooms are spotless with good water pressure. I stayed in the dormitory section on the 3rd floor. The bunk bed rooms and lockers are quite roomy—larger than most budget-friendly accommodations in Taiwan. They don't provide free towels, but that seems to be the norm for this price range here."

"Had a really good short stay at Kings Hotel Chiayi. It is located a short 5 mins walk from the train station which is helpful if you were taking the morning Alishan Railway or connecting to any of the other cities. About a 10 min walk from the night market which had plenty of food options. Breakfast was included, nice clean restaurant, plenty of food choices incl. Western. Overall highly recommend if you are passing through Chiayi and looking for a comfortable stay before or after your Alishan...

"It’s our four nights stay here. Great experience to stay with our dog inside the room, pet can stay together with you in the room is wonderful. The hotel has nice breakfast buffet and afternoon tea time, and the fitness center is actually amazingly nice in terms of a hotel. There is Starbucks/KFC/Mcdonald just across the street. And nearby Chiayi train station. Definitely recommend. "
