Empathy and hospitality.
Mr. & Mrs. Liu and Karsing were very helpful without being intrusive. From rides to meals & hikes to laundry to tea information & tours.
The accommodations and breakfast are secondary to the priceless experience of learning and being in the Alishan tea plantation area.
Had the most English TV channels vs all other places we stayed at. :)

Very nice new hotel well located in the city center, five minutes by foot or 100 NT for a taxi from the main railway station. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was made to order and tasty (small salad, fries, sausage, one egg, small pudding and a piece of melon). Coffee nice and bottomless from the coffeemachine.
The staff was very friendly.

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel, we only booked one night here as it was mid-way en route to Alishan. The hotel rooms were quite nice, opted for the upgrade on the room aince it was only a small difference in price and I can say that it was worth it.
