"I loved staying at the JD Hyde Historic Inn and was delighted to find this hidden gem. The home is so superbly restored and the owners were really wonderful. I will be back. "

We like the town, especially the old downtown area. People are friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Also, we are seriously considering relocating to Visalia.

This was just a stop after visiting Sequoia National Park. We were pleasantly surprised to find Gorilla Quesadilla in town, which had great quesadillas. We also made a stop at Marie Callenders restaurant to get some pie to go.

The hotel isn't in the best area, but we didn't feel unsafe at any time. Visalia is a pretty safe community with its share of homelessness and related issues, but overall a nice town.

We did not spend much time in town this trip. We were only there for one night. We have enjoyed time there in the past.
"Close to restaurants and shops. We arrived by bus and were able to walk around town. We also took a bus to Sequoia National Park from right across the street."
"Dulce was a sweet, kind and knowledgeable innkeeper. She showed my college-age daughter and I all around the house, explaining the history of the Hyde family home. Gorgeous house, beautifully decorated in period paintings, furniture, dishware, glassware, books, bedding, and more! We loved our room, the crisp bedding, the screened-in porch, the cool pool and warm hot tub, and the fancy China we used for our breakfast. We will come again! "
