The location is superb, the property is nice, clean, quiet. The continental breakfast is nice and plentiful. Service is very nice and efficient. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean and modern. 8-10 mins walk to the entrance to the palace. WiFi included.

A good hotel to stay in Versailles

Ideal place to stay for visiting the Palais Versailles and the surrounding areas. Rooms nicely decorated with Palais theme and comfortable. Also offers a good continental self service breakfast too.

Absolutely great hotel! We stayed for one night and were lucky enough to get a parking spot, there are only around 10. The staff were super helpful and spoke great English. We had forgotten our travel chargers and the reception kindly loaned us a couple for the night. We then somehow, left a bag of gifts in our room after checking out. The cleaners found it and brought it out to reception for us to collect once we realised. Every single staff member was kind, helpful and warm. The location itself is fantastic. A few steps away from a quaint French market, 5 min walk to Versailles palace and 10 mins to the train station that takes you straight into Paris.

Everyone here at the Hotel Des Lys is wonderful! They have been incredibly helpful with everything and especially with directions to the many points of interest in Versailles. My room is charming, immaculately clean and very quiet. The entire property looks new and is very well cared for. The hotel feels like it’s in the middle of everything in Versailles and is walkable to all you’d want to see and do in Versailles—shops, restaurants and historical sights.

Hotel was nice and clean and only 15 minutes walk to the palace. Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from, and a Sunday market. Love that they have their own gated parking but spaces were tight! It took me forever to park but I managed. Continental breakfast available.

The reception team was very friendly, and fortunate for us, spoke excellent English to our weaker French. We were given a disabled room, which while a bit larger, lacked storage. The shower had no curtain, so we had to wipe down the toilet and mop the bathroom floor after each shower. Suggest providing extra bath mats for this room. One of us could not connect with the hotel's WiFi on an iPhone 13. This was a significant inconvenience.

Great location. Efficient service but not particularly friendly. Very transactional. Advertise car park yet no instructions on how to get into it, and it was locked! Arriving by car in a foreign, new town, this stuff should be really well communicated to make arrival as easy as possible.
