Hotel Abbazia
10/10 Excellent
"We had a deluxe room and it was well worth paying a bit more. It was like a suite with a seating area then moving through to a bathroom on one side and a walk in shower on the other side then moving on into the bedroom. The hotel has lots of character and a beautiful garden where we enjoyed eating breakfast and having an aperitif with some lovely savoury snacks. The lounge area was very nicely decorated and comfortable. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. If we return to Venice we will definitely stay at this hotel again. It is so wonderfully located making it easy to get the train or the bus. There are lots of lovely restaurants nearby."

"We had an amazing room and the hotel was perfectly situated and very very upscale. That said I was surprised by their mandatory 25 euro charge at the roof bar. Clearly offers one of the best views of the canal must be a popular terrorist sign. We are already paying a premium, is offensive. We were in the mood for two Prosecco, which were €16 each. However, with their rule, those €16 drinks were €25. It may seem a minor point but show respect for your upscale guests who have chosen your hotel as the best place to stay rather than a tourist destination. ."

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The front desk staff were super helpful with recommendations on where to eat. Our room had a view to the water canal where we could see gondolas pass by. It was a bit noisy however, but we were on the main level floor. Overall I would highly recommend, location is central, staff are friendly and super helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful."
