"Fabulous staff and property"

"Oh boy, what a disaster. First of all, I am not a really fussy person and usually love a home stay. I booked a superior room and when we arrived, we were given the worst room we had ever stayed in. Nothing like the pictures, it was very run down with a lot being broken and looking dirty. We borrowed a scooter for an hour or so and would pay the 100,000rp the following day. That evening, the power started going off and on. It would be off for 5-10 mins, then back on for 10-15 mins, then off again. After the 6th or 7th time, I went down and explained that I had a medical device I needed to use and what was happening with the power? They decided to “upgrade” us to a better room with stable power. I was showing my husband the pictures of the rooms, an “expectation vs reality” type thing when I realised that this “upgraded” room was the one I had actually booked. They had put us in the cheaper room, and left the room I paid for available to be rented out by someone else. I was not happy with this scammy behaviour but we decided to persevere. We got into bed and the sheets were so damp, they bordered on wet. We had had enough, packed up, and moved somewhere else. There was no one around so I left the key on the desk and we walked out, now close to 9pm. They rang me the next day to ask for their 100k for the scooter. Yes, this place was very cheap but I have stayed in places just as cheap that were honest. Avoid"

"Lovely stay with great breakfast, spacious room and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The manager Eka made sure you were comfortable and was always on hand if you needed anything."

"Lovely situation out of the main town with spectacular views of rice fields from the main cafe/bar area. We had a private pool duplex. I might actually choose a room near the main pool next time as it's a lovely area and we didn't use it. The lounge area was nice but open and therefore subject to small spiders and ants! Private pool was okay. The bed was AMAZING- huge and comfortable and a lovely big bathroom. We were spoilt. Food and drinks reasonable value- nice chilled area. We had 2 meals and plenty of drinks and came to less than 50gbp for our stay. It can be accessed by Grab and wasnt that much of an issue. Only about 2-3 gbp into town. Would definitely choose again next time we come! Thanks all. The staff were lovely. Only downside is we booked a photo shoot but miscommunication around the time meant we didn't get it. They were very apologetic though and no biggie and offered us other times but we had plans. Plus the doors are a bit 'gappy' when closed for an area that has PLENTY of nature around! I will miss the nightly cataclysmic thunderstorms and geckos outside the door!"
