The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. "Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."

"Great stay overall from check in to check out! Really enjoyed the accommodations with such a beautiful and large room. Town with restaurants is close by within walking distance and the bus and train stops are very convenient! The open air onsen was lovely. Everything was comfortable and the staff was so kind! Was worried about the shared bathrooms but honestly that was so easy and also close enough to the rooms to not feel like a hassle at all. "
