While hydrangeas is in full bloom in late May to mid June another flower blooming at the very same time is he Japanese Irises where they can be found in a few gardens around Tokyo as well. Not my first time to see them but definitely the first to see this trip or this year and I found them in full bloom and abundance in this garden in Horikiri. Even the station is named after it! Not many tourists here and mostly locals from this area even though it is a huge garden with the most variety of Irises! Great find!

So many varieties, so many colors... practically no tourists! Free admission! What more can I asked for?!
The first Iris garden I visited this trip. The best in terms of varieties and colors. Not to mention it's free admission and very easy to get to! Even the station is named after the garden!
