"Perfect place to stay in Keswick"

"When we arrived at Burnside we thought it looked quite small having stayed at lots of the larger hotels in Keswick and the Lake District. We were so wrong! The room we stayed in was larger than most with a large bay window and another at the side. The room was so tastefully decorated, "William Morris" feature wall and pastel shades complemented by the classic Edwardian furniture. There was everything anyone could ask for :- TV, refreshment tray, even a large sofa! The room was so clean and spotless. Sharon is lovely and a great cook. The breakfast was the best I've had in The Lake District and probably the largest ! It was so easy to get to the town centre, buses every 20 or so mins if you didn't want the short walk. We love Keswick and we will most certainly come back to Burnside"

"We found the room and hotel to be quite dated Carpets were dirty and towels had marks on them. We never felt clean during our stay here. It was our first trip to the Lakes and we have been put off returning because of it."

"We stayed in the Osprey room, a double room, very nicely refurbished. The bed was king sized and quite comfortable. Breakfasts were fine with a nice variety of food offered."
