Only criticism would be the bar, we were told at reception that the tavern bar was open from 15.00 until 22.30 but when we went to the entrance door could see staff inside but the door was closed. Went again next day which was the same but found entry was through the restaurant which no one told us, several people appeared to do the same while we were there, should be a sign on the door to explain how to enter, or just open the door."

"We had a three night stay as this was a good base for visiting Stratford and several National Trust houses nearby. The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly but not proactive. ie, didn't notice plates, bowls, etc. that had been finished with and could be removed when they brought other items to the table. The breakfast was good, but the hot water flasks meant the tea was tepid. We ate in the restaurant each night and enjoyed some good, wholesome food. "
