"First off, this is about the best location you will find and at a good price compared to other hotels in the area. We had an amazing view of the harbor and beach. The bed and pillow were comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. Walking distance to great bars and restaurants. The downside is the place needs updated. The bathroom is really sad. It had the same stainless-steel shelf between the sink and mirror that we had in military basic training. No joke. There is no vanity to put your belongings on either. Just a sink mounted to the wall. The tub was old and dingy, and the shower curtain rod was rusted. There were only 2 towels and 1 washcloth. The water pressure was very low too. Parking was great and no cost."

"Eclectic hotel on the beach. Multiple restaurants and coffee shops immediately outside the door. Free bicycles, beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas. Room very nice, very unique style with asymmetric tile, exposed brick and almost graffiti style art on the walls but it really works and quite fun. Front desk Manager (or maybe he was the property manager) very kind and attentive. Highly recommended this property."

"Absolutely. For a public Expedia review, I’d keep the energy but make it polished enough that management actually takes Edward’s recognition seriously. Copy this: Outstanding stay — and Edward deserves recognition. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m still staying at Jamaica Bay Inn, and the entire staff has been exceptional. Everyone has been welcoming, professional, patient, and genuinely helpful, especially while my plans kept changing and I had to rebook and reorganize everything. I especially want to recognize Edward. He has been absolutely outstanding. He helped me from start to finish with my reservation changes, answered every question quickly, and is helping me arrange a massage for my mother as I write this review. He is sharp, efficient, compassionate, and clearly knows how to take care of guests. I also shared a difficult situation involving my dog with him, and the empathy and kindness he showed genuinely meant a lot to me. After hearing he has been working here for four years, I can say this: the hotel is fortunate to have him. Edward represents exactly what hospitality should look like. I sincerely hope management recognizes the value he brings to this property because employees like him are the reason guests remember a hotel and want to come back. Thank you to Edward and the entire Jamaica Bay Inn team. You’ve made a stressful trip significantly easier for me and my family. You all deserve your flowers. 💐👏"
