This hotel has been updated recently and is very nice. It was quiet through the night and it was great to have chairs right outside the door to sit on and enjoy the fresh air.

We stayed here twice recently while visiting friends in the area. It has everything you want from an old-school motel, with modern upgrades. Carpet-free rooms give a clean feel, good AC, all conveniences like a fridge and coffee maker. You need a car to get into town, but location is good with access to attractions and restaurants. Friendly accommodating staff, too!

motel is on hwy 7 . so you get traffic noise and there are train tracks near bye . but the motel itself is good big clean rooms and close to every thing

I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Colonial! The motel room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The outside of the motel was well-lit, so I felt safe coming and going at night. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I've been coming to Perth every August for 30 years, but this is my first time staying at one of the motels in town. I'm happy to say it was a great experience and I'll be recommending the Colonial to my family as well :)

Everything was fine except for loud banging that would cause the wall and headboard to shake. We were beside a corridor and couldn't figure out what it was. Maybe a door slamming, but couldn't see where ...?

The room was clean, quiet, and very convenient. We were on a road trip, so appreciated the fridge and microwave. It is our second time staying at the motel and we would happily stay there again. Great value for the money.

I have stayed at 5 motels in the last year. The colonial house motorway is by far the cleanest, newest, and safest I've felt in any of these. The room felt like it was upgraded in paint/flooring/bathroom fictures within the last 5 years which is not an easy find for motels. It is right in Perth despite the address and you are a 5 minute drive from EVERYTHING. Would come back! The only comment I have is that the lighting is quite cool-toned/fluorescent. They weren't too bright or glaring, I just think if as bulbs in lamps were replaced as needed with warm toned bulbs it would push the rooms over the edge for comfort. Not a big deal - just personal preference. The staff was incredible and there was no credit card hold like most which I don't always have the money to cover with. 10/10!
