"Taupo is freezing and room took ages to warm up. Air con was very noisy but we needed it on all night to stay warm. We were disappointed in the hilton, bed was old and uncomfortable, unit was very noisy both with plumbing from above us and some trades, we stayed 2 nights and cups for in room coffee were getting pretty manky. Carpet had big stains on it. Staff were lovely, place easy to get to, lots of complimentary parking, spa,was wonderful. I expected a higher standard because of its rating and also because its a hilton"
