Great place to stay, recommend the 2 bedroom Chalet. Pools were good but are an additional cost (you do get a discounted rate). Close to town but is a drive (or a steep walk back). Staff were helpful.

Since the pools cost extra, we didn't use the amenities. It was just a hotel room for us; could have been anywhere. Frustrating that the featured picture is one you have to pay extra to experience. Directions also say to "contact the property in advance for check-in instructions" and "To make arrangements for check-in please contact the property at least 24 hours before arrival" -- turns out there was no need to go to the effort. The front desk staff had no idea what I was talking about. Room was clean and comfortable.

Fantastic place to stay in Taupō. We booked a basic cabin but were given a cabin with a mini kitchen and lots of extra space. Having a kettle, microwave, sink etc was very helpful and contributed to a comfortable stay. We were also given a small bottle of milk for teas and coffees in the room. The cabin was cosy, warm, and very close to the shared bathroom facilities. The facilities at this resort were spotless, spacious and there were an abundance of showers and toilets. The thermal baths were also great and guests staying at the resort can enter at a reduced price. I would highly recommend this place and would stay again in the future!

The main appeal here is proximity to the spa pools (and slides for the kids). The rooms were comfy too with a good fridge and kettle.

The rooms were large and clean. It was good to be able to drive the van to the door of our accommodation as we were a group of seniors. Had a nice dinner at the Hilton Bistro Lago restaurant which was next door. Didn't have time to go to the pools.
