"Rooms were small and cramped. They were also old and in need of refurbishment. The whole hotel could do with refurbishment. The thermostat (from the 80s probably) in my room didn’t work so had to get them to fix it the next day which they did. Bed was comfortable. Location is good. "

"I had booked the hotel as a treat for my husband, as he likes old buildings. I was very disappointed about my stay at Hotel Woolstore 1888. The receptionist was disinterested, not welcoming at all and sullen. The room small, but clean with no outlook. The reception dark and gloomy. On departure the reception member of staff was smiling, but sadly too late to alter my impression. The cleaning staff were very polite and helpful. As we approached the hotel there was what looked like effluent on the pavement which was not cleared up for the duration of our stay, plus an old armchair dumped on the pavement. Needless to say we will not be rebooking!"
