I cannot speak highly enough about hotel staff, friendly, welcoming, helpful. From the front desk, concierge, housekeeping, staff in the Chamas and 2nd floor restaurants, bar area were excellent. Food including room service was of a high quality. Very happy with my 4 night stay and highly recommend.

Vasa Hotel is very clean and has a sophisticated, upscale atmosphere. The decorations were always on point and added to the overall elegant feel of the hotel. As for the food, I only tried the breakfast buffet, but everything I had was delicious with a good variety of options. I didn’t use the spa or the gym, though I did see the gym facilities and they looked very well equipped. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only small challenge was a bit of a language barrier at times, as some staff members had limited English. Overall, I had a great stay and really don’t have any complaints.

The room is a good size, nice sofa and table, for working. Bathroom, sink area, and shower separated from the bedroom with a sliding door. All good. Shower was a bit unusual, and a bit difficult to understand which handle controlled the overhead or the handheld shower nozzle. Lifts were fast, and hand operators

Very posh and well equipped hotel located in one of the best spot in west Surabaya. Which unfortunately is also it's downside. Avoid staying here when there are known large events happening. Combined with the nightmare that is the nearby freeway exit, we had been stuck waiting for our turn at the elevator for 15-20mins, despite their staff best effort to coordinate it in real time with radios. Waiting for your valet to return can also take up to 30mins during some of these events.

Overall, my stay at Vasa Hotel was okay, but improvements are needed. Although I booked a suite, it didn’t feel much different from my parents’ standard room. They had a king bed, while mine seemed to have two twin beds pushed together, which creaked when I lay in the middle. I enjoyed the well-equipped gym, which had a separate yoga or Pilates room with mats. There also appeared to be a spa toward the back. Unfortunately, the pool was poorly maintained, with missing tiles that felt rough and slippery underfoot. The handrail was also slippery, and the pool lacked privacy since restaurant guests could look into the area. The gym and pool reception staff weren’t particularly welcoming. They repeatedly asked me to sign in and seemed distracted by games while waiting for guests. On a positive note, the Japanese restaurant staff were welcoming! They showed us the teppanyaki area and private rooms and offered yakiniku on the top floor. However, their English was limited. I also like the breakfast options they have, as I do have access to the executive lounge. However, I prefer the breakfast options on the second floor than the 33 floor. If you’d like a quiet place then you’d like the 33 floor. Although the lobby staff spoke English, my husband, who only speaks English and Mandarin, struggled to understand a call from another employee at the hotel while I was at the gym. Overall, I appreciated the gym and restaurant hospitality, but the suite, pool, and service could improve.

the room design and lighting is a bad joke; can't shave or comb hair with the light at wash basin; no working table and chair; never seen such stupid non functional room design and furnishing. Air conditioning is horrible; temperature done not come down and it feels very humid and damp; almost impossible to sleep with the thick comforter provided with non-functional air condition which is not only in my room by 3 others on different levels travelling with me. Never staying again in this hotel

Overall, our one-night stay at Vasa Hotel Surabaya was excellent. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome. We were greeted with complimentary dessert tarts, which was a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to start our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well maintained. My wife and I also really enjoyed the fitness center and were impressed by the hotel’s beautiful, modern architecture and overall atmosphere. The hotel has plenty of convenient amenities as well. We especially liked having an on-site bakery and gelato shop, which made it easy to grab a snack or dessert without having to leave the property. The location was another major advantage. Having a mall nearby made shopping and finding anything we needed very convenient, and the hotel was also reasonably close to the airport, which worked perfectly with our travel plans. Overall, we had an excellent experience at Vasa Hotel Surabaya. The combination of comfortable accommodations, thoughtful service, great amenities, and a convenient location made our short stay very enjoyable. We would happily stay here again on a future visit to Surabaya.
