Surabaya hotel rooms a the Independent

"Average room. Staff were friendly."

"Amazing staff, very clean. Next to shopping centre which was great. Downsides - restaurant had only one wine by the glass so we had to eat elsewhere and two pools, only one gets the sun in the morning but this was reserved for guests in the next hotel (Westin) and not allowed usage. "

"Nice place but too many irritating distractions: 1. Breakfast was a disappointment. I tried to get breakfast included. Couldn’t do it! Emailed hotel and Expedia, no response. Ended up paying 2 x the price next morning because I did not make the appropriate booking 2. Cable tv was a problem. Promised tekkie did not make it to our room. We just put up with it. 3. Could not buy a cup of coffee without also buying breakfast. 4. Not the same Ascott as I am used to in Jakarta. "

"I stayed one night at this hotel to rest after a long journey from Melbourne to Denpasar, and then on to Surabaya. The staff were friendly and the food was average. However, I was disappointed to find that my room and bathroom were quite dusty. I hope the management can take this feedback into consideration and improve the cleanliness of the rooms. With better attention to this area, I would consider staying again in the future."
