"Overall the place was quite clean but could do with a good dusting and robot vacuum on the tatami.
Very quiet. Bathrooms and showers clean. Rooms cozy."
"Exceptional service and facility.
A bit outside of Hakone but a great location for folks who need to stay away from the city and people. The small town/ Sengokuhara is also great - a ton of museums and good restaurants. All walking distance. "
"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The onsen was relaxing and the food delicious. The rooms were spacious with a great view and the staff was very helpful. Only snag might be due to translation errors, where when booking it seems as though you are booked for a dinner, but it doesn't actually reserve the meal. Would suggest anyone going here call hotel in advance to make sure they have sinner reservations set up."
"It was lovely. The food and private in-suite onsen were all incredible, and the service was also top-notch. Also of note, the beds were particularly comfy."
"If you're looking to get away to quiet serenity then this is a lovely place. It is removed from easy access to activities in the area, other than the outdoor sculpture park, which is EXTREMELY worth a visit, but it was a beautiful location to spend a peaceful break in the midst of the big cities on our itinerary. "Highly recommend the traditional Japanese dinner ! Everything was lovely and the staff was very responsive. Beautiful and peaceful grounds, recommend a private onsen."
"Absolutely gorgeous hotel. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. We stayed just one night but could easily have spent more time at the hotel and exploring the area."
"I’m born and raised in Japan but currently living in the US. I have experienced nice Onsen hotels, but this is the best. I’m pretty sure that I’ll come back to this place!!"
"The onsen was really nice and the size of the room was great. There is limited free parking on site so make sure to check in as soon as possible. It was a perfect place to stay"
