"We stayed at The Copa Inn in South Padre Island and overall had a solid stay. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable, though they squeaked loudly with almost any movement, which was a bit annoying at night. The staff was excellent — very attentive and always willing to help with anything we needed. The pool and jacuzzi were a highlight; both were clean and very enjoyable. The direct beach access is perfect, just steps away, which made it super convenient. Breakfast is average. The breakfast tacos seem to be popular, but what most reviews don’t mention is that you only get one taco per person and you can’t order more. That was a little disappointing. Overall, the hotel is in a great spot, the staff makes you feel welcome, and the beach/pool area is really nice. We’d recommend it if you’re looking for a convenient, no-frills stay on South Padre, especially for the location and service. "

"Hotel is a little outdated and rooms could use some work. Bathtub was so slippery my toddler slipped and fell and busted his head open. The pool was warm as well at the hot tub. I did like how convenient the walk to the beach was. "
