Place was convenient, there was plenty of shopping stores and restaurants and near the hotel are was quiet not to much noise from traffic, the only issue that I had was the remote for tv was missing and after requesting one , It never got brought up to me.

I'm in Brownsville quite often and I usually try to book here. I've never been diappointed. I like that it's quiet, safe comfortable, and has an excellent breakfast offering. Staff is friendly and helpful too.

The room was clean, the water pressure was good as well as the hot water. Nice additions such as body wash and shampoo. The beds comfortable and pillows nice. The breakfast left us lacking as there were no plastic forks, butter to be found anywhere. We were there at the end of the service time however there were several people eating and wanting to eat. the food that was supposed to be warm was cold and the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. If this hotel would have someone that cared about the food service I would give 5 stars but it was evident that the person in charge of breakfast doesn’t want to be there. So go and stay here, but plan to eat breakfast somewhere else. I can only imagine from the service shown what I could not see is even worse.

Broken elevator, no electricity, cockroach

I rarely write hotel reviews because most hotels are great and comfortable. There were several issues at this Staybridge that need to be addressed. (1) I arrived at the hotel at 6:02pm but no one came to the check-in desk until 6:15pm. There was no way to ring a bell to let anyone know that I was there. (2) Both elevators in the hotel were not working. My room was on the 3rd floor, so I asked for a room on a lower floor so I didn't have to carry up a suitcase to the 3rd floor. They would not make a room change, and I had to carry a suitcase up the stairs. (3) In the room, 1 of the televisions did not work at all. (4) The charging outlets between the beds had no power running to them. I had to charge my phone in the other room. (5) The elevators STILL were not working at 8:00am. I had to carry my suitcase back down the stairs. I understand 1 elevator not working but both? This is very inconvenient plus a huge issue related to accessibility. The hotel should have had this fixed asap. (6) As I showered in the morning, I looked up to see a cockroach climbing around the ceiling fan. It was really the icing on a very bad visit to this hotel.

The only thing I have to complain about, is that the pipes are noisy and the AC unit is very noisy and located in the bedroom. I loved the bed; it was so comfortable. The room was clean, the kitchenette fully furnished with everything you could possibly need and a nice sized refrigerator. The complimentary breakfast had a nice selection of fresh fruit, cereals, and even a small salad bar, in addition to the usual eggs and protein. I plan to stay here again on my next visit.
