"I was very disappointed in my stay.I have been here several times in the past. But this time, the whole property seems a lot more run down. The boat canal was not only shut down, but it was full of green algae. The train that takes people across the property was closed down, so it was much more challenging to access all parts of the property. We had to walk quite a way just to get to our room. That did not feel like a luxury experience at all.The lady at the front desk that checked us in was very unwelcoming and did not give us any information about the property. She just gave me the keys. She was waving down some pilots that had walked into the lobby like she was a fan and was completely ignoring us.The pilots were not even seeking her assistance. I was also not very impressed by the valet. The car was brought up, but, they were not opening the doors or helping out for the majority of the time that we were there. One of the pools were closed when we were there. One of the elevators in the Makai Tower seemed to have drippings from a diaper(#2) on the ground and it was not cleaned at all for the duration of our stay.We ate at the restaurant near the lagoon/dolphins and the service was not very good. The food was also not very good. Definitely not worth the price.Additionally, people who are not staying at the hotel are allowed to utilize the pools and lagoon. That doesn't seem fair to paying guests to have a crowded pool, since everyone is allowed in.The room cleaning staff was good."

"I would have given a higher score if it weren’t for the unwelcomed surprise received at check in. We were informed that our card would be charged for a “Resort fee” that was never mentioned when we made our selection while booking our trip. We will use a different source for future trips.

"We enjoyed a top floor, ocean front room. It was quiet, serene, and was decorated beautifully. The staff was quite helpful and always friendly. We look forward to staying here again. "
"What an incredible place! Our room was clean, comfortable and well devoted. The attention to detail from the game room to the Coy pond made this one of our favorite places to stay. The view of the ocean is lovely."
