"Super slow trams. Empty towel bins all over the property. Towers are extremely far from front desk and tram wait can be very long! Not ADA friendly as bridges all had stairs and going around them would take very long due to how massive the property is."
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean Tower Waikoloa Village
10/10 Excellent
"Resort level quality property, I was booking for my son who needed accommodations for a single night on the island as a severe tropical storm had changed their travel plans.
Very polite, and professional staff.
We are very grateful."
Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
6/10 Okay
"We stayed 2 nights, the first room had a lot of ants so we asked them to switch the room. The other room had also ants, the third room was okay so we decided to move the room. It was 2nd floor which is no elevator. They said no other room we can use elevator but I don’t think so. Definitely not busy time.
The room is ocean front but it is partially ocean front view because of the big tree. I recommend to request upper floor.
I don’t think this is not a perfect location to stay in Hilo unfortunately."
"The start of the stay started off well with Sarge, the property manager, and all, with him cooking for us and welcoming us in. The rules were very strict in having no outter footwear inside the house. The property was nice with a stray cat, named White Knight, being around the property to be there during your stay. However, things went downhill when we found out that one of our friends was hit on by Sarge, which made her feel uncomfortable. We were caught off guard by this action and let the other guests who went there with us, to be cautious and watch over her. "
"I thought the property was very well kept. My only complaints were the pool. It was rather chilly especially as some of the days we were there were windy. Also, we did come to this resort for our honeymoon and did mention this to the front desk during check in and there wasn’t an acknowledgement of this."
