"Front desk staff were exhausted at times due to some of the counterproductive hotel policies which means everyone has to check in twice as they are not allowed to check anyone in before 3pm. They were apologetic and polite but many other customers seemed frustrated and it also meant There was always a constant queue and they didn’t seem to have many breaks as it was always the same front desk staff during our stay. Pros: they offer a 10% discount on your vin tickets. The bar staff are wonderful, friendly and make a great cocktail! We really recommend and enjoyed our conversations. (The food wasn’t great. Night caps only!) Cons: I suggest you use your check in day to arrive early and buy your vinwonders or safari ticket on day of arrival as on day of departure (even if it’s early in the morning) they won’t provide you with the 10% discount they offer which we had purchased before. We didn’t want to do the two parks in the same day (the safari isn’t feasible for most people unless you buy fast passes) and it closes at 4pm. They really have to be done on two separate days. The breakfast buffet was very hectic and unenjoyable. A lot of people pushing to get food an tea (there is usually a second buffet in the back of the area) and suggest you go for that one unless it’s close to the end of the buffet time. They are missing hot tea refills and milk so that is difficult if you need your morning caffeine. I wouldn’t book more than two days at this resort. "

"Great hotel with the most incredible staff"

"Zero service, bad food, tired rooms. Looks like hotel is catering to mass tourism package tours from Russia and China and makes no effort to provide any service or train personnel. English is almost non existent, except front desk. Staff untrained, unmotivated and try avoid contacts with guests. Ordering wine at dinner requires significant effort. Several calls to pick up laundry, and a few more to get it back. Limited alacarte menu. The buffet dinner was pretty bad both times we went there. On a positive side - great swimming pool and spa / gym facilities, but that’s it. Did I mention that during 7 days we were able to get beach lounger only once as most are occupied after 9am? Making people sign every bill twice is just another example of poor beaurocratic policies - mind you, they take your photo on check in for breakfast / dinner buffet, but for everything else you must sign twice and they often insist on closing the bill right away - the management clearly do not trust personnel to keep track of people eating / drinking to have single check in the end of the meal."

"The rooms are very well equipped, the shower is lovely and the bed is comfortable. The beach is spectacular and the pool is a good size for the number of rooms, always enough beds at both. The water at the beach has a few rocks but otherwise soft sandy bottom. The food at the restaurant is 1-4/5 stars depending on what you order. Our favourites were the breaded shrimp with passion fruit sauce, the dumplings and dim sum. The rice and noodle dishes we had were good but needed doctoring with chili sauce and pepper to be delicious…maybe just my taste but I think they’re kind of bland. The cocktails were outstanding. The service is very lacking. Not enough staff seems to be the biggest problem but we constantly had to go find someone if wanted something else or the bill. They basically take your order and drop off food then you never see them again. It’s also a little remote so you’re at the mercy of what the minibar and the restaurant offers. Buy snacks and drinks on the way or ride the free bicycles into town. "
