Hotels near Phu Quoc National Park

"This is by no means a 5 star resort. I dont like to moan but this was our 4th 5 star hotel throughout Vietnam and does not compare to any of the others. Breakfast was basic, no speciality coffees offered, place needed redoing etc cracks in walls, mold on tiles, paint chipping everywhere. The private beach is barely a beach, and half of it is covered in litter and whole dead rotting fishes. Hotel is not busy but yet still have to wait 15 mins to get served at pool bar due to one member of staff. No waiters offering drinks either. However the restaurent food for dinner that was a la carte was lively and so were the staff in there. I think this appears to be a poor management/owner issue not the staff."

"Everything was perfect. The breakfast was varied, fresh and plentiful. The pool was immaculately clean. The beach was also lovely and clean (which is rarely the case in Vietnam) we ate at thé hôtel restaurant in the evenings and there is a good choice of food. Thé staff are brilliant always helpful and very friendly. Thé hôtel is perfectly situated in beautiful gardens. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"We enjoyed our time at the Movenpick. I think the piece that we struggled with was the front desk as we wrote to them a few times before arrival about the shuttle service and about an extra bed for the room. And while we received responses that were positive none of them were acted upon. No shuttle at the airport until we called. No extra bed in our room until we asked again at check in. In general, once you’re there everything is great and delicious. The breakfast is amazing. But I remember looking at a yoga class and thinking: there’s yoga? Front desk never said. These would be things to consider for the front desk."

"An oasis of calm and quiet peace. Beautiful surrounds and very well kept. Staff are lovely. I will miss the wonderful poolside comforts. The food is delicious and super fresh. Room was cool and spacious. Reluctantly a high recommendation as I’d selfishly prefer it stays quiet. "

"This resort is advertised as 5 star. It is 3 at best. It was clear that many of the facilities were poorly maintained and in need of upgrade. The pool in particular was had green algae on walls, steps and floor. Umbrellas were mouldy and disgusting. The signage messaging was aggressive in tone and staff confused about our booking. We definitely did not get a king bed as booked, instead two singles pushed together that was uncomfortable to sleep on. The furniture on our terrace was limited and very uncomfortable. Some cushioned lounger chairs would be better here. Avoid eating at the restaurant, it is totally overpriced and better food available outside resort. The cocktails were basic. We ordered Mai Tais which came without pineapple or passion fruit in. Rookie cocktail making. While the grounds and beach are a pleasant and peaceful environment to be within, I would not recommend currently staying here until some well overdue maintenance and customer service improvement occurs. Not a great experience for the price paid"
