"Want to start off by saying that Punch House is a lovely place, the pub was great, the food was delicious (and mega portions) and the staff were so friendly - Tash in particular. Unfortunately we didn’t get a great sleep, which is key at a hotel stay. The room was boiling hot and I expect this has been raised before as an old fan had been provided however this was the noisiest fan known to man. So it was a choice between hot or loud. Please get a more modern fan that runs a bit more effectively/quieter! Other than that though, good place. Decent if you’re staying in Monmouth. Probably absolutely fine in winter!"

"Fresh breakfast, excellent staff! Good location on the edge of the town and lots of places to cycle to, including Puzzlewood which was the main reason for our stay. But there was a mechanical banging noise (like a shoe in a tumble dryer!) from 3.30am both nights we stayed that kept me awake. The whole experience was very 'meh' and we wouldn't recommend unless you are playing golf there."

Bharat and Anne are very friendly and helpful and great hosts too. I have never stayed in a better B&B (or possibly hotel as well!). Very highly recommended. "Was unsure if had to bring our own bedding but bed was made up for us. Great stay, surprisingly comfy beds for a single bed. Pizzas were stunning and breakfast was great too."

"A very well presented, furnished and equipped house in a beautiful peaceful location. Friendly communication from the owner and simple contactless check-in. Great bed, heating and shower, plus very well equipped kitchen. Easy parking and a supermarket about 5 minutes drive away for supplies. Would recommend and stay again."
