"Clean room and friendly staff. Very well air conditioned during extremely hot season. Hotel is pretty basic and not luxurious, but it's a great location and rooms were updated and clean. Shower had good hot water pressure. The only downside was that the hallway had a smokey kind of smell. But the room itself did not."
"Beautiful property right on the Lakeshore. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Rooms were beautiful and super clean. Pools were great. Lobby restaurant was open late but it was pricey."
"Even in most hotels with top ratings and reviews, the lobbies usually smell like dirty mop mix with Fabulosa. Instantly when I walked in, it stood out to me how clean this place was and it did not have that very familiar smell. They were more than helpful with every single detail. I was here on a college visit. If my son chooses this school, I will absolutely stay at this hotel every time thank you so much for your hospitality. I also noticed management cleaning counters along with the staff something you rarely do see."
"Not too bad but we noticed there was an empty bottle of beer under one of the beds. Cleaning should b thoroughly done after each guest that checked out. Other then that it was a quiet place."
Peek'n Peak Resort Trademark Collection by Wyndham
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was incredible! Shana, Bill, Randy and all other staff including cafe, pool, front desk - I was always met with friendly, very helpful responses and actions, including personal physical assistance (often w/o asking.) Had the best massage I’ve ever had anywhere by Ashley. Bed was comfortable and refrigerator was a good size w a decent sized freezer ( larger than a room fridge usually is.) The miniature golf course was fun (few small rips in the turf need repair.) Going off season made it a quieter experience that I would do again.
But I was very surprised to see that a Wyndham property did not hv an elevator in the lodge. I hv serious back issues ( I was in an adaptive room on the first floor which allowed me to enter/exit without needing to use stairs. However, getting to the pools & spa required climbing steeps sets of stairs ( I actually slipped coming down.) There shld be an elevator in that area,
Also surprising, was that there was no safe in the room - requiring me to take and carry my laptop and all my money/charge cards w me whenever I left the room. (Signs say to secure valuables- they r not responsible for them.)
Also, wld hv appreciated tea bags (not just coffee pods as I don’t drink coffee. A couple of hooks (near sink) on which to hang wet hand towel/wash cloth and another to hang a robe wld hv been nice."
