"I am extremely disappointed with our stay at Premier Inn County Hall. As international travellers (already jet lagged) and spending long days walking / touring the city, we expected to stay at this hotel as a place of rest and recovery. We did not get this, which affected our physical and eventual mental exhaustion and negatively impacted our trip we had looked forward to for years. We were unaware this hotel had ongoing challenges with an organized, late night, sport bike community, who met up outside of the hotel 4 of the 6 nights we were staying there, lasting from about 11:30 pm to 3:00 pm. The persistent sound of very loud engines revving (different bikes seeing whose engine is louder?) were alarming, and the bikes would zip down the road with fast acceleration and there were violent popping sounds that regularly put our nervous system in fight or flight. It was unacceptably loud. When speaking to the front desk, I learned this has been an ongoing issue for the hotel. While the hotel has taken some some steps with the police to try and deal with this, it isn’t working. The hotel needs to take further steps to address this issue for its guests. This can include investing in some private security and entering into cost-sharing options with other property owners on the street to reduce the security costs and expand effectiveness throughout the street.
This problem is completely unacceptable and further steps need to be taken by this hotel."
