"This was our fourth time staying at a R9 The Yard Hotel. We found them all great. What we liked most about this one was we had 2 beds. The space is a little tight but worth it for us. They offer you a free frozen meal for each person at check in plus they also have free coffee available 24/7 in the office. Each room has a fridge, mircrowave and kettle."

"Very professional hotel, amazing value. Everything was well thought out and comfortable. Though note, the bed in my room featured a particularly firm mattress (Asian style). If you are used to Western mattresses, it could be an adjustment. Might be nice if the hotel offered a few rooms with Western style mattresses. "Great property! We stayed in the 4 bed family room. It was great to have 2 toilets and the jacuzzi tub. Lots of space for our family of 4, even a large closet! Daiso, Lawson’s, and tons of eateries just down stairs. One stop away from the main Chiba station. No self laundry but we did find a place with huge machines just a 10 min walk away (or 5 min taxi). Breakfast was good but the same everyday. Will definitely stay here again. "
"The onsen was my highlight of the property. Only one hot bath and no saunas but the facility was nice and clean. Chiba is a quiet residential area, but the hotel was close to train station and plenty of restaurant options in the area."
"We liked that this hotel was close to lots of dining, drinking, shopping and a central train station that had the Narita Express Line and local trains. Our room was more spacious than the "Henn Na Tokyo" hotel we previously stayed, but the bathroom was more cramped and their mirror was placed so that you had to crouch or sit on the toilet to see your face. Their air conditioner was better at turning on and off to keep your desired temperature. They actually had humans instead of robots for their front desk staff.
One thing to note is that this place is close to a lot of girl bars and massage parlors. There were a couple of solicitors that hung out at the hotel's street corner every night. They didn't bother us, but conservative families considering this location might want to be aware of the neighborhood. Our room was on the 5th floor so we didn't hear a lot of noise.
But other than that, the location is great for shopping and for being removed from the hustle & bustle of Tokyo without it taking too long to access it within a day. "
