"The location of the hotel is good; it's a fairly easy walk to many of the central sites of interest to tourists, and not far from the central business district. The breakfast is varied, though the hours are a bit limited for a late sleeper like me - breakfast closed promptly at 9:30 am on a weekday. I arrived late at the hotel on my first night - well after midnight - yet the staff were wide awake and friendly, which I really appreciated. The only problem I had was with the electrical power outlets in my room. For some reason, the plugs on my phone chargers fit very loosely, and I had some trouble getting the chargers to stay connected."

"I spent a week at the Stanford in Myeongdong, in a superior double room, which was quiet, spacious and well-maintained. It even had a nice view of Namsan Park and tower. Aside from the wifi signal being a little weak at one end of the room, I have no complaints at all and would happily stay again. As many guests note, the hotel’s location is excellent, and its staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine, but there isn’t much in it for those who, like me, are lactose intolerant and prefer to eat Western food."

"The hotel location is very convenient. Next to Starbucks, CU. Go down to basement and must try the local restaurants. 10 minutes walk to Seoul station. The young gentleman staff at 701 was very nice and friendly. We stored our luggage with him before check in time. He sent us a message thru WhatsApp to let us know that our room is ready and he moved all 3 luggage 3 backpacks to the room for us. We are so thankful of his kindness. The room is big enough for our 2 medium luggage and 1 carryon to open wide and we still have room to walk around comfortable. We really appreciated for the daily room refresh, refill water bottles and towels. Definitely coming back to Hotel Modak next time in Seoul."
