"The Good: Amazing location, plentiful parking (a true rarity in Carmel), and very clean. Beds are comfortable and towels are nicer than average. The Bad: The property desperately needs a remodel. There is little soundproofing; the sliding door to the balcony is almost impossible to move; the carpet is worn thin and in places I stepped on a tack strip. There is a small fridge but no microwave. The shower head needs replacing. The property still uses physical keys, and there is no chain or safety lock, just a deadbolt that can also be opened from the outside. It could be so much better, and for the price they're charging it should be."

" improve: The breakfast was fine, but parking was limited and one evening due to lack of any spots I tried to park in a narrow single spot on far top covered area. there are these round cylindrical cement on the bases of the wall and my car could not pass through and caused damages to low part of my rare passenger side. I wish I could attach a picture for you to see. the Parking overall was very difficult and problematic. The breakfast was fine, but parking was very limited. One evening, because no spots were available, I attempted to park in a narrow space on the far upper level covered parking spots. There were round concrete cylinders at the base of the wall that weren’t clearly visible, and my car couldn’t pass through without hitting them. This caused damage to the lower rear passenger side of my vehicle. I wish I could share a photo to show exactly what happened. Overall, the parking situation was difficult and frustrating."

"What a gorgeous hotel for couples! Romantic setting, great ocean views for many rooms like ours with a large private balcony. We chose a King Bed, Ocean View room. There is a wonderful choice of breakfast items delivered to your doorstep at your specified time in the morning. This hotel has beautiful grounds with fountains, waterfalls fire pit and tropical plants. Our room had a gas fireplace which we used, just because. The decor and vibe were Asian inspired with a lovely Japanese table top, bamboo fountain in our room giving a lovely trickling water sound. Parking was free and there is a lot of vacant street parking too. Like most places in Carmel, there is heating, but no A/C which we actually missed as we were there during a heat spell. It did cool down at night and was not too bad, but it would have been nice to have the A/C in late afternoon. That is my only complaint"

"We loved our stay! We had a great view of the ocean and sunsets. Our room felt cozy and we slept great! The Green Lantern Inn is perfectly located near downtown with everything within walking distance. As for parking, we had no issues. We always found a spot right in front of the Inn. The staff was very warm and inviting and had great recommendations for food and activities. We cant wait to come back for another stay. Jason and Yara"

"The location is unmatched, staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Rooms are cozy and views are gorgeous. 5 min drive from downtown Carmel. Carmel is one of the best places to bring a dog. BUDS, the restaurant in house, is phenomenal. The breakfast (included) is the best breakfast I’ve had. That alone would make me come back. "
