This was my second time staying at this location. I stayed twice (and will probably stay again) because the building is very close to where I need to be in Sao Paulo, the price is right, and the units have the most important items that I need when I am in Sao Paulo. This is however not a hotel. It doesn't have a front office, you can't ask for extra towels or pillows, there is no one to help you with luggage, etc... which is ok if you know ahead of time this is not a hotel. What I don't like is that all communicatios with "Charlie" are AI assisted and through an app. The check-in process is also through an app and it is not simple. You need to submit documentation before arrival to avoid delays getting into the room.

The air conditioning was broken. Rack for towels at the bathroom was falling. Remote controls for the TV not working. Electric outlet poorly installed under the working table with wires showing. Nothing was fixed during my stay.

Horrible experience, cancelled my room last minute

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I received a message at 7:30 pm of the same day of the check-in, communicating they were cancelling my reservation, without any reason. They left me really without a room and a bed to stay in São Paulo and couldn’t find a solution. No any other room available in São Paulo for less than 500 USD per night at that days, and heather EXPEDIA offered me a solution.

Check-in was problematic. Firstly, the property sign reads "Residencial Newciti", no mention whatsoever of "Charlie". Secondly, the facial selfie that will consume ten minutes of your time to properly take and send for the online check-in process (that whole thing was quite the ordeal) does not function to get you past the facial recognition lock on the front gate, nor the one on the front door. We were let in by tenants who just happened to be entering. Thirdly, once inside, we told the man at the front desk that we had a reservation with Newciti Itaim by Charlie. He gave us a blank look and explained that only a few units were available as the building was a condo. We repeated that we had a reservation (my wife is Brazilian and I speak Portuguese, so no language issues) with Newciti by Charlie and it finally sank in. We provided him with our passports and then had yet another photo taken which would work with the facial recognition locks. We were also provided with electronic key cards to actuate the door lock for the apartment, which they unceremoniously wiped clean the next morning before we had vacated the apartment.

O sistema de check-in é muito burocratico, apesar de ja ser cadastrado eu e minha esposa no Charlie , toda vez é uma burocracia enviar documento e as vezes foto. E espera para a certeza do quarto é outro stress, o fato de ninguem no Apart poder fazer nada pelo hospede tambem é muito ruim. Eu estava hospedado por 3 dias e tive a necessidade de ficar mais um dia na cidade , fiz nova reserva e de um quarto aparentemente superior a primeira reserva , a nova reserva veio para o mesmo quarto que eu estava e por isso me entregaram o quarto exatamente como eu deixei , sem arrumar !!!!!! Inacreditavel , o sistema Charlie colocou minha nova reserva como extensao e ignorou o fato que deveriam arrumar o quarto. Pedi para trocar e me deram um quarto sem micro ondas, com ar condicionado quebrado e sem telefone para me comunicar com a portaria !!!! Mais uma vez inacreditavel , tive que trocar novamente de quarto !!

No geral, a experiência foi boa. O estúdio é confortável e atende bem, com destaque para o banheiro, que é bem espaçoso — ótimo para se arrumar, com uma bancada grande que facilita bastante na hora da maquiagem. Um ponto de atenção é em relação aos utensílios: inicialmente, havia apenas o básico, e só após contato com a equipe do Hoteis.com conseguimos uma cafeteira. Vale a pena verificar antes da reserva se o estúdio possui itens como micro-ondas ou fogão, pois isso fez falta para nós, já que ficamos por um período mais longo. Outro detalhe importante é sobre as toalhas: elas não são trocadas automaticamente em todas as limpezas, sendo necessário solicitá-las pelo aplicativo, o que pode ser um pouco inconveniente dependendo da rotina da estadia. A área de lazer também tem seus pontos positivos e de atenção: a academia é boa, com bastante aparelhos, e a sauna é uma delícia. Já a piscina não é aquecida, então a água é gelada, algo que pode fazer diferença dependendo do horário do dia. Um ponto positivo que gostamos bastante foi a separação de lixo no local, com lixeiras específicas para cada tipo de material reciclável, mostrando uma preocupação com sustentabilidade. Como sugestão de melhoria, seria interessante incluir uma iluminação extra no espaço do espelho entre o quarto e o banheiro, o que ajudaria ainda mais na hora de se arrumar.
