"The hotel was excellent and the customer service was excellent The breakfast on the premises had a great selection and the items was freshly done. The pool is only acceptable by a room key. The hotel is surrounded by some nice restaurants and the area is surrounded by police and armed guards. The taxi are always upfront by the resort and would drop you at some locations and also wait for you. One taxi driver drove us to the mall and waited for us too. I would definitely recommend the Renaissance hotel to my friends and family."

"Booked one night originally. Check in was easy. They didn't have the two rooms I needed side by side but they did a great job getting them as close as possible with an upgrade to our rooms. The hotel is beautiful. With on-site options for food and a bar. The coffee shop is definitely worth checking out. The Cafe con Leche was delicious. The pastries as well, and of course the hot chocolate. If you know DR you know they have incredible chocolate. The area is hustle and bustle lots of shops ( didn't go for that purpose but will definitely next time). Lots of food options and you see police everywhere. Its in an upper scale area so its pretty safe for tourists. However, anywhere you travel that you are not from, you must take caution. This includes the DR. DR takes tourism seriously. Just practice safety. Dont wander places. The ms we were given were clean, sooooo spacious, with a beautiful view, amazing rain shower head with hot water for those of us who love hot water, this is a major plus as its not always great on an island. Complimentary sap, shampoo, conditioner as well. The staff were helpful as we ended up having to stay an extra night last minute. They accommodated us and the process was easy even though I booked through Expedia initially. The not so greats: toilet was a delayed flush so you really had to hold it down for the toilet to flush. Its an island sometimes it happens...no biggie. We figured it out and all was good. The other room flushed perfectly. "

"Great place. Friendly staff and very helpful . I feel they should definitely work on the meals provided which were great but for the price of their buffet I believe that should be included. Also, I appreciate the cleanliness of the room but they definitely need to work on the smell of the rooms. . They smell old and like mildew . But I honestly would return regardless until next time .
