To be told on arrival that we were consigned the worst room without a window or any sort of a view from outside because we booked online was upsetting. Even though we paid more than their cash rate. The rooms were clean, but a 32 inch TV, is not acceptable in 2024. The air-conditioning is old noisy and tired and needs urgent replacement. We paid another 530 a night to "upgrade" so i wouldnt have to traverse the 20 steps. Our room had a remote for the AC that would not work, we found out the unit was manual. Crazy. Then their penny pinching policy of only supplying 3 pillows when their website says 4. A rort to extract 50 pesos . And the duty manager leaves at 6pm not to return until 8.30 am. So most of the time the hotel runs on remote control where the stafff cannot make a decision. The saving grace was the staff. Polite, helpful and friendly. But i get the impression they miss some proper leadership. With absentee owners this is most important. I could not recommend this hotel as there are better, cheaper alternatives available.
