Yes, it was beautiful and so cute. My husband and I had a wondeful time. The breakfast was amazing. Everything was good.
Fantastic breakfast and wonderful ambience. Exactly what I wanted out of a B&B. Larry and Pam were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The building was very charming and full of Victorian style. Definitely looking forward to going back.
We loved staying in the cottage on the property. It was perfect for our needs. The property setting is beautiful and the breakfast prepared and served by the hosts is just extraordinary. We look forward to a return visit!..
Pam and Larry's hospitality was phenomenal. Breakfast was absolutely delightful each morning.
My wedding was just down the street from the Gables Inn, and they allowed us to use the cottage as a bridal suite.
The property grounds were breathtaking.
It had been a dream to stay at the Gables Inn since I was a little girl, and it was everything I imagined.
We had a wonderful time! We stayed at the cottage and it was lovely, had our own fireplace with a small refrigerator and some utensils, so we had a nice little dinner with local goods and wine we purchased in nearby stores. The location is perfect to visit Sonoma. The breakfast was very delicious and generous. Samantha and her husband took very good care of us. Definitely recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast!
Larry and Pam were the consummate hosts and chefs. The egg soufflé was fantastic and the breakfast was great and not too filling. Our room was spacious and despite being a house from the 1880’s, everything was in good working order and the property is large and comfortable. We will return when we are in the area.
Innkeepers Pam and Larry really deliver the "breakfast" in B&B. You start each day with a gourmet, three-course meal featuring locally sourced ingredients. With a full belly, you venture out to explore Sonoma County from the inn's prime location just south of Santa Rosa. In the evening, you enjoy a bottle of the wine you brought back while sitting among the vines of the inn's own vineyard. For a romantic wine country weekend, an ordinary hotel just does not measure up to the experience of staying at the Gables.
We keep coming back here. Beautiful, and beautifully restored, old Victorian home. Check out the book in the parlor that recounts its history.
It’s perfectly situated to serve as a home base for a wine tasting trip. We also stayed here when we attended the Cotati Accordion Festival.
Larry and Pam are the perfect hosts. When we asked for a dinner recommendation, they made reservations and gave us printed directions to the restaurant.
During this last recent visit, they hosted a grape stomp (inspired by the “I Love Lucy” episode); ‘twas a blast!
But the best part is breakfast. Larry is an over-the-top foodie. Our first breakfast started with a home baked, white chocolate/black cherry, still warm scone. That was followed by a baked, spiced pear (home grown by the way, like many other ingredients), topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yes, breakfast with a dessert, before the main course even!
During our last breakfast, Pam apologized that we were getting the same thing twice. She brought out Larry’s two-egg soufflé, which confused us, because we hadn’t had that for breakfast . . . during that trip. Turns out, they track what they’ve served their guests during past visits, so they never have the same thing twice. Truth be told, we’d be happy with that every breakfast.
We’ll be back!
PS - If you have an electric car, they have two charging stations.
