"Everything was going great! Beautiful room and very clean and then the power and water went out for 7hrs. Rooms were hot and humid. No water in the toilets. And staff said there was nothing to accommodate. Wouldn’t stay here again"

"We had included breakfast in our package, which was 2 fried eggs in salsa, fresh fruits and a drink. Hotel 8 minutes walking to beach Chahue which is not swimmable and 10 minutes to Santa Cruz which is good for swimming takes 10-15 to walk downtown or taxi ride for 50 pesos"

"Our stay at Barcelo Huatulco was amazing! Greeted by friendly and welcoming staff upon arrival. No high pressure timeshare sales like many other resorts we’ve stayed at. A very refreshing change! Our room was pool/ocean view. Very clean and well kept. Cleaning staff were amazing, keeping our room clean and tidy the entire trip! The 3 restaurants were all amazing! Sushi, Mexican and Italian. All great quality and so delicious! Prompt and friendly service at all. I recommend making reservations as soon as you arrive as availability is limited. The buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner all had a good variety of foods including traditional Mexican as well as American choices. A bar with music and great atmosphere open from 10pm-2am….great time if you’re up for a late night! Drinks were served all day around the pool and lounging areas as well as the lobby bar. Had no trouble getting a lounging chair by the pool or beach area…also a nice change from previous vacations! A great selection of included non motorized water sports. Snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boards, small catamaran. The resort is located in a Bay Area where the water is swimmable but can get a little rough at times. A nice walk from end to end with the occasional sting ray or turtle sighting. Barcelo is a nice sized resort. Comfortably walkable to anywhere you need to be and not crazy busy!! Short taxi ride to shopping and sight seeing. An amazing vacation!! "

"It's a fraud that they offer the rooms on the first floor as "ocean view", the balcony is in front of the pool so the view is really just people sunbathing on sun loungers right outside your window. You have to keep the curtains closed at all times if you don't want to feel like you're in a shop window."

The best breakfast I ever had, so complete: chilaquiles, eggs, pancakes, juice, fruit etc. staff members are so nice, polite, friendly. They are so helpful if you need any help getting some where.. I’m so happy I booked in this hotel. "
