It's our 4th time visiting Buffalo Thunder from Dallas, Texas with the whole family during spring break. My husband and children love it. I recommend booking the Junior Suite. The perfect size and I love the balcony facing the mountain side. The hotel is beautiful, huge, clean and the staff is super friendly. It has several restaurants. They have trails in the back if you are traveling with your dog. Looks like they have a gated area outside as well so you can let your dog loose to play. My husband and I love heading down to the casino at night.

Clean rooms, big rooms, but not a lot of amenities were open. Apparently there is a huge buffet but it wasn’t open. Only one of the restaurants was open and it was very expensive. We only had appetizers and 2 drinks and it was over $200. We went offsite for breakfast.

Room was as expected, nothing special, nothing bad. This is the worst Casino I’ve ever been to. Heads up, no smoking, no alcohol on the casino floor, no craps due to staffing post Covid is what one of the dealers told me. Food was also sub par, ordered nachos, Chips were beyond stale, waitress, “ok, I’ll let them know.” No resolution offered after that. Needless to say, I will return the 30th of Neveruary and if anyone asks? Yeah don’t waste a dime there.

The property was ecxeptionally beautiful. However it was quite a distance from the downtown. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, if a little understaffed. There was absolutely NO Amenities. (Well there was ONE coffee and ONE Tea for each of us)Also not many dining options.. mostly closed afternoon. It looked like some places weren't ever open. Then some stuff was closed on Monday. It is a hotel where you come to enjoy the stuff it has to offer. Can't do that if things are closed. And you really have no other options. They did have the Casino if you really needed something. Otherwise you had a long drive. That makes it difficult when you are far from everything else. No transportation to town or airport. This all may have something to do with the season. But i was there when i was there and would have enjoyed it more with more options. What was available was pretty pricy. We still had a wonderful time.
