"The hotel is very dated but it is a good price, its clean and in a good location. If your looking for somewhwhere cheap to stay and dont mind basic then its perfect."
"Owner is so lovely and very helpful, almost like a personal tour guide for us with plenty of suggestions for things for us to see and do. Very friendly!! Breakfast was beautiful! Room was clean, walking distance to beaches shops and restaurants. I’d stay again if visiting ilfracombe again. "
"Property looked as if renervation has started but nowhere near finished. Door on upper floor bedroom couldn't be closed as the catch was missing just a space where it used to be. Door on upper floor bathroom wouldn't close - too tight a fit so couldn't be locked - no privacy. Difficulty shutting and locking rear french windows didn't feel very secure. TV remote didn't work. Tried changing the batteries but no success. When we reported were told others had made same comments but it still wasn't...
"We had an overnight stay here for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed our stay , It's not the Ritz as some previous reviewers seemed to expect, but it was clean ,the guy on the reception was friendly and helpful and we managed to use the outdoor swimming pool.An ideal location for what we needed ,"

"The hotel was well placed for walking into Ilfracombe and the room was comfortable. As it was a large room the bed would be better to have been a king size as opposed to a double. The hotel obviously caters to bus trips and as such the dining was limited to the same, but the food was good and well cooked."
"Lovely stay here. Very helpful friendly lady met us on arrival and explained where the games room was which was fab offering table tennis, pool and darts, we were then shown to our room. It’s a dog friendly place. Although we didn’t have a dog it was fun to see them. The apartment was clean and comfortable and great hot water for the shower. The communal garden was large overlooking fields and you can just see the sea which was a nice surprise. Ilfracombe is close by and a lovely little town with the verity statue at the harbour with boat trips being offered. Short drives to other stunning beaches. Would definitely consider coming here again. Thank you for a great stay. Claire and Tim "
