"Room was clean, but very outdated. Dirty carpet, wallpaper peeling off. Old and dusty, definitely overpriced. Pools and hot tubs were dirty and had gross bandaids floating around, didn’t seem like they were maintained well. Staff was all nice except restaurant staff all seemed miserable and like we were an inconvenience to them. I paid for an ocean view but got a partial and was told I would get a room when available, never got a full ocean view so that was really disappointing. Over heard a couple in the hottub have the same experience but they got upgraded their second night there. Very family friendly but so overpriced for the quality of everything. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again."

"It was a smooth check in and they served breakfast which helped for the trip. The rooms were comfortable, the only issues we faced were the elevators do take awhile and the hot tub was not hot instead ice cold. But over all it was a good stay and I would go again."

"Check in was easy and quick. The dining room there is amazing and they have a robot that delivers the food which is funny and easy as well. room was clean and spacious and the ac worked like a champ"

"The elevator situation is terrible. Long lines to get to your room. It seemed like only 3 worked. There was no escalator’s working so you had to wait for elevator or take stairs. Convenient place between mall and convention center and rooms were okay. We stayed in an Ocean View room but it really was “ocean partial view”."

"We were four adults in our party and we got the worst rooms you can ever imagine. We were in the fourth floor were the common areas are located such as the pool, jacuzzi and the breakfast buffet location therefore starting early morning around 6:00AM noise started, people started to come to make line to be the first people to eat breakfast. Then our room were next to the elevator, when we wanted to go in/out from the room our way were full of people waiting for the elevator. We found out with other guests that have small children that they had better rooms and in upper floors. The customer service is a problem here as well because the buffet room tables were not clean. Hopefully this recommendation will help the staff to make better judgment in how to book rooms for their guests."

"My husband and I stayed at the Royal Hawaiian Waikiki for my 40th birthday and we have nothing but praises as glowing as the beautiful tans we received from the glorious Hawaiian sun! The Royal Hawaiian Waikiki is top-notch. Besides being a beautiful pink hotel perfectly situated in the heart of Waikiki close to lovely shopping centers, restaurants, and the beach, it is also an exceptionally clean, well-maintained hotel with luxurious, modern amenities, picturesque beach access, manicured lawns, and delicious dining option. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and large ceiling fans, huge soft beds, large windows with a perfectly situated table and two chairs for enjoying your morning coffee, delightfully tropical mango-scented bath amenities, and a bidet in the bathroom. You have access to two pools, one located at the RH and the other shared with the Sheraton next door. The staff is warm and welcoming and will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is comfortable and that whatever occasion brought you to the hotel is celebrated fully! For my birthday, we were welcomed with leis, a fruit platter, chocolates, mai tais, and even a birthday card and two complimentary glasses of champagne. I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful hotel and am looking forward to returning as soon as possible!"
