Wonderful overnight stay: clean, great location, easy parking, a quick walk to the town/Main Street, breakfast included, great value for price! José the gardener made our visit by letting us know about the different plants and flowers that they planted/maintain at the Squibb House. He was so friendly and personal-really made our visit such a treat! We will definitely come back when visiting Hearst Castle and the elephant seal rookery!

Such a fun experience at the barn. We had a warm welcome from Len who showed us around. Wonderful location for our trip to Hearst Castle and delicious breakfast to get us going!

Full of character and charm

Squibb House was full of character and old world charm and history, and the breakfast was excellent. It was in easy walking distance to main high street with plenty of choices of places to eat.

Historical house with old photos/info was much appreciated, as was "Black's Barn" next-door with inviting sitting room, games/game tables along with yummy breakfast buffet. Both secure buildings offered 24/7 coffee/tea, even frigs for guests to use.

I seriously hated the idea of on street parking but once there, well, let's face Cambria ain't the big city and there was nothing to worry about. I stayed in the Cherry room and it was an absolute delight. I especially liked having a private entrance. Lots of choices for dining in walking distance.

We enjoyed our return trip to Squibb Houses. We arrived in Cambria early enough to explore the town, enjoy the flowers, shopping and dinner. The room was as comfortable as the first time. The breakfast was not as diverse as on a Saturday but still plentiful. Squibb Houses still is the best B&B in our book!

Loved how it took me back in time. The only thing was not being told up front or in an email how to find the keys . But if you ever have done an Escape Room, where you have to find clues to get out, or in this case to get in, then you will be OK. While i was there i did see a few confused bewildered older people walking around the property trying to figure out how to get to their room. Was kinda funny..but overall was a?pleasant experience

Quaint hotel

We enjoyed the quaint historical feel of the place while being just steps away from great shops to explore. Tons of great restaurants nearby so you can ditch the car for the entire visit!. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and would come back For another stay without a doubt.

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely Squibb House. The gardens are so peaceful and filled with a great variety of beautiful plants. Best of all was Tiffany. She runs the Inn with such grace and caring manner. She was very welcoming and made a delicious breakfast. We will definitely visit again.

A gem of gems!

This is a gem. The town Cambria is “hidden” in the beautiful hills of California and less than 2 miles away from gorgeous beaches. This Bed & Breakfast place is amazing. The quality of service, premises and food are outstanding. The historic house is idyllic and quaint yet offers all modern amenities. It’s located in the heart of town surrounded by a variety of art and antique shops, great restaurants and even an authentic French bakery. I’d go back to Cambria just to enjoy another stay there.
