"The room was clean and tidy, the staff were helpful, and the hotel offered convenient amenities like bicycles, umbrellas, beach chairs, and totes. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel also offers a small cold breakfast offering of baked goods, parfaits, coffee, tea, and some juice.
The hotel itself is well maintained and clean. Its historic character shines through its remodel and is within a block of the beach. I’d recommend to anyone.
The only downsides are:
- The size of the rooms. The rooms are incredibly small and have very little space. If you have a lot (or large) luggage pieces, you may feel a bit cramped.
- In-room privacy. The room we stayed in had a sliding glass barn door style door (not a pocket door that seals well). If you’re not comfortable with your partner or roommate, you might have a hard time using the restroom or taking a shower. The door is see through (though it has privacy glass).
- In-room air conditioning. The room does have air conditioning, but our air conditioner was a bit damaged and didn’t swing or change fan settings. Thankfully it did turn on and off.
Even still, it’s a beautiful, quaint hotel and an enjoyable place to stay."
